World Laughter Day – An Annual Event of Giggles and Celebration!
World Laughter Day is celebrated on the first Sunday in May each year. Traditionally laughter clubs across the world meet at midday to send a continual ripple of laughter around the globe – across all the timezones – for 24 continual hours; we tickle the whole world with laughter!
World Laughter Day 2018 – Sunday 6th May
World Laughter Day 2018 is Sunday 6th May and Laughter For Health and Edinburgh Laughter will be celebrating with a FREE laughter session “Laugh for Wolrd Laughter Day – Fundraiser for Parkinson’s ” – see Facebook event here
Hello lovely laughter enthusiasts!
We will be laughing together at The Mound – Sunday 6th May – between midday and 1pm – to celebrate World Laughter Day.
Come along to boost your health, your happiness and your joy – AND help us to raise money for a very worthy cause – close to the hearts of many of us within Edinburgh Laughter Club.
If you are at a loose end tomorrow – Sunday 6th May – between midday and 1pm – why not come and have a giggle with us!
The weather is going to be AMAZING!!!! 18 degrees with sunny intervals and we so rarely get the chance in the Scottish weather to enjoy a laughter session outside in the fresh air (just as it is practised in India where it originates….it really is something else to laugh outside in the fresh air!).
Join Laughter For Health and Edinburgh Laughter Club for this year’s celebration of World Laughter Day on Sunday 6th May!
Every laughter club in the world is expected to run a laughter session at midday – and due to the different timezones – we are part of a global movement sending a continual 24 hour ripple of laughter all around planet Earth – sharing the joy and the human connection of laughter.
We tickle the world with laughter and send feel good vibes out to the world to promote health, happiness, joy, connection and peace.
We join together to laugh in order to feel good, to boost our health and happiness, to express joy and have fun and to connect as a community; and this year we will also raise money for Parkinson’s UK – 2 of my regulars live with Parkinson’s and laughter club has helped them enormously
We will be laughing together at The Mound between midday and 1pm.
We will meet at 11:45 at the “pyramid” right between the 2 galleries (see photo below) – there’s a square based, 4 stepped (kinda like a half pyramid!) structure – where people can sit and watch the world go by – and we meet there.
(Its right in line with where cars access the galleries from The Mound opposite the bus stop).
Who can come?
The laughter session is free and open to anyone – but please, please, please dig into your pockets to make a donation to Parkinson’s UK.
Whether you’ve laughed with us before – or have never yet managed to come along before -everyone is welcome!
Kids, families, friends, dogs all welcome! So bring them all along!!!
Fundraising for Charity
Every single penny raised will go to Parkinson’s UK – this session is run entirely voluntarily (just like the weekly Edinburgh Laughter Club sessions) since Laughter Club is a not-for-profit global movement pormoting health, joy and peace.
Kids and dogs are free but for the rest of us – the suggested donation is £5 – the same as attending a laughter club session with Edinburgh laughter Club – and for 1 hour of amazing exercise and the best fun – this is fabulous value for money!
But please just give what you can.
Every single penny will go to Parkinson’s UK to aid research.
As of this Thursday 3rd May 2018 – Edinburgh Laughter Club has now smashed through £13,000 of fundraising for various local charities! And I volunteer my time – every week – and every World Laughter Day – to help people laugh more and enjoy life more and come together to support a good cause.
Please Join Us!
So come join us and experience just how amazing you can feel after a right good giggle!
And by supporting Parkinson’s UK, we FEEL GOOD and we DO GOOD too!
Please note if you do have mobility or pain issues and need to be seated – please bring a portable chair or stool with you.
Hope to see you there – at The Mound – 11:45 for midday – Sunday 6th May 2018!
With love and laughter,
