Certified Laughter Yoga Leader Training

Time:                   9:30am – 5.30pm both days

Investment:       £249 FULL RATE or £199 EARLY-BIRD (if paid in full 6 weeks before) 

                            £195 CONCESSION RATE (for people on low income/receiving state benefits)

Laughter training weekends run in March, July and October but further trainings can be arranged for organised groups; if you are interested in future dates or if you have a group of friends or work colleagues wanting to train together, please get in touch here.

Laughter Yoga originated in India, developed by Dr Madan Kataria, and is a unique concept based on the fundamental premise that anyone can laugh for no reason – without the need of triggers from jokes, humour or comedy. Laughter Yoga combines laughter exercises, deep breathing and childlike playfulness to profoundly improve physical and mental health as well as emotional wellbeing, self-esteem and confidence. We use unconditional laughter, play and creativity to make us feel healthier, happier, and more full of joy – it’s simply amazing!

 

Upon successful completion and assessment of this weekend course you will become a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader with the Laughter Yoga International University & Laughter Yoga International – Dr Kataria’s global movement promoting health, joy and peace. This internationally recognised qualification allows you to acquire insurance to run your own laughter sessions.

 

Course Content

 

During the training you will

 

> get an understanding of the need for Laughter Yoga
> find out how the idea of Laughter Clubs originated
> learn the basic guidelines for running a Laughter Session
> get to know the benefits of Laughter Yoga as well as the risks
> learn about how to start a Laughter Club
> discover how starting a laughter club is the best possible model for starting your own laughter business
> benefit from over 8 years personal experience of running a hugely successful laughter club:
  •    + the things you MUST consider
  •    + the pit falls
  •    + my own personal top tips
  •    + my disasters (yes there have been a few but every single one has been an opportunity for growth and learning to be shared with you!)
  •    + the benefits – personally, to others, to your community…
  •    + the utter joy
  •    + the highs…the lows (which you very quickly forget!)
  •    + why I give up and volunteer between 5 and 6 hours of my time every single week to keep running my Laughter Clubs!

> the opportunity to join a group “40 Day Laughter Challenge” immediately after the training to set you up on the best possible path for success and to fully commit to and embrace your own laughter and joy
> ongoing support following the training in order to get you off to a good start – including group coaching sessions and CPD (Continual Professional Development) events both with your training group and with other Laughter Yoga Leaders trained by Laughter For Health
> discounts to all Laughter For Health workshops and Continual Professional Development (CPD) Laughter Training – unique to Laughter For Health  
> the opportunity to join a rota (for those living in or near Edinburgh) to lead Edinburgh Laughter Club sessions in my absence or for experience!

 

At the end of the two days, upon successful completion and assessment, you will receive a Laughter Yoga Leader certificate enabling you to call yourself a Laughter Yoga Leader and to get appropriate insurance in order to run laughter sessions.
